We Need Each Other

How old is your oldest friend? I recently connected on social media with an old friend from Kindergarten!! Knowing someone who has known us since we were little kids is a beautiful thing. Those friends remember us different to how we remember ourselves at that age. For example, I remember Kindergarten as a stressful time, getting used to an all-day school schedule, sitting still at a desk. But my Kindergarten friend remembered me as a joyful happy girl.

We need the perspective of one another!

At KKC, we value encouragement as a necessary communication skill when teaching our little students. Sometimes children don’t master a task immediately. But they will eventually master the task. And so we celebrate the little wins and the small strides that together will bring about the total success we are hoping for.

We make the time to teach a concept with repetition in mind and across several different learning styles. Some children learn by throwing themselves into the task and trying to do things on their own. Other students learn by someone showing them step by step slowly and repeatedly how to do the task at hand. Encouragement in the process goes a long way towards providing assurance and security.

Be gracious and easy with yourself today. Some days things come easier to us than others. You are capable! And with the Holy Spirit’s help, you are able!
