Jesus Loves Children

How Jesus loves children! Read through the Gospels, and it becomes quickly obvious that Jesus loves children. Not only does Jesus spend time with children in and amongst the crowds that followed Him, but He often encouraged those who follow Him to do so "like a little child."

Children are simple. Children are transparent. God LOVES these qualities of simplicity and transparency. When Jesus, the Messiah, was walking the earth, so many people missed seeing God in plain sight! They were looking for a Messiah that would overthrow the Roman government. They were looking for someone who would physically match the brief of authoritative and strong. They missed God in plain sight!

God LOVES these qualities of simplicity and transparency.

In Matthew 11:25, Jesus celebrates the childlike faith of new believers when He says, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children.” In less than a month, we will celebrate the coming of our Messiah, celebrating His death and resurrection for us, His kids! I encourage all of us to celebrate the coming of our Messiah with childlike joy.

The gospel is simple, “For God so LOVED the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him, should not perish but have everlasting life.” Hallelujah!!
