“It’s just child’s play.” Have you ever heard that phrase before? Sometimes we describe things which we don’t take seriously as “child’s play.” It can have an almost demeaning connotation to it. I’ve been meditating recently on the idea of playfulness in the classroom. In the words of Mr. Rogers, THE famous Mr. Rogers from children’s television, “Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from some serious learning. But for children, play IS serious learning. Play is
